Live the experience of senior life expands Strathmore Square Reservea 26-story, 300,000-square-foot seniors’ residence in Bethesda, Maryland.
The property is part of the master developer Fivesquares development‘s Strathmore Square, which will eventually include 2,000 residential units, approximately 35,000 square feet of ground floor retail and a 1.25 acre central park.
The Strathmore Square reserve will open at the end of next year and will consist of 240 units made up of self-contained accommodation, assisted living and memory care.
“The uniqueness of this community comes from the fact that it offers high luxury to an aging population in an urban environment”, Philip Barklowpresident of Experience Senior Living, told Commercial Observer.
Located near the Grosvenor-Strathmore Red Line subway station, between the subway parking garage and historic Rock Creek Park, The Reserve will provide housing specifically for seniors.
One of the big draws to the community is the emphasis on the arts and the emphasis on immersive culture and lifelong learning, according to Barklow. “The Strathmore Square Reserve will incorporate a planned performing arts component to complement the arts focus,” he said.
Other facilities include a swimming pool, pickleball court, wellness suite with sleek fitness room, spa, salon, and multiple restaurants.
“The Strathmore Square Reserve will be unlike any other community in the area, improving the lives of seniors by creating ‘only to [Experience Senior Living]’experiences that cannot be replicated by living at home, and we are honored to bring upscale, resort-like living to this remarkable new urban oasis,” Barklow said.
