Carlo Purassanta appointed Executive Vice President, Strategy and Corporate Development, at ION – FE News

ION, the world’s largest provider of trading, analytics, market intelligence and risk management solutions for capital markets, commodities and cash management, has appointed Carlo Purassanta as Vice President executive for strategy and business development.

Carlo was president of Microsoft Italia (2013-2017) and Microsoft France (2018-2021). Prior to this, Carlo worked for IBM and was Director of Business Development for South West Europe, and Director in France and EMEA. He holds an engineering degree from Politecnico di Milano in Italy and an MBA from Henley Business School in the UK.

Carlo is currently a member of the strategic advisory board of the Graduate School of Management of Politecnico di Milano, a member of the advisory board of Only The Brave (OTB) and a member of the investment board of the French Touch fund.
